What is
your standard turnaround time?
We strive to fill all orders within 24 hours. On certain days
our workload cannot accommodate this. Please communicate to
us upfront if same day service is required to meet your production
deadline.
Which shipping options are available?
We ship FEDEX, UPS and USPS (if necessary).
Detailed shipping options are listed on all approval sheets
for your selection.
What is your ordering process?
Make sure we have your:
- Company Name
- Address (Careful using PO boxes as Fedex & UPS cannot deliver)
- Telephone & Fax Numbers
- Email Address (Business Cards are helpful too)
- Contact Name (it is very helpful if this person knows a little about the moulder/grinder)
How can we get drawings to you?
- CAD drawings in DXF or DWG format is the quickest, most
accurate way.
- Sending a hard copy sample is excellent, but will take
more time and money (shipping) to accomplish.
- You can scan your profile in your scanner and save as
a bitmap or jpeg and send it to us via email.
- You can trace drawings with sharp thin pencil, measure
with digital calipers, give as much information as you can.
- Fax to us. Distortion occurs when faxes are sent, we scan
the image as it was received, draw over the image in CAD,
then we rescale to dimensions you've given us.
- You can sketch a rough drawing, give some dimensions,
fax it to us, and let us finish the sketch.
- You can call and tell us what you want over the phone.
Whichever way you choose, you will be very pleased with
the finished product. All designs of templates and knives
are axial constant (consistent reference point), for easy
regrinding and quick setup.
Which cutter head hook angle should I use?
Mirror Reflections cuts both 12 & 20 degree cutter head knives, but recommends 20's for most circumstances. It's great to have 12's for when you do need them, but because 12's use more of a scraping method against the wood they dull your knives twice as fast, while requiring as much as 15% more horsepower on your machine. We have used 20 degree cutter heads on hardwoods and softwoods for many years with good success. Please specify your preference when ordering.
After drawings are completed, what is the next step?
When your full scale,
color, precision CAD drawing is finished. You will receive it via e-mail
or fax. Look it over carefully. You will find pricing, steel
quality, and shipping options on the approval
sheet. This will assure you get what you want & when you need
it. You must sign the approval sheet before any template or
knife production is possible, this is your quality guarantee.
When we receive your approval, it gets cut and or ground.
Template is shipped in 24 hours or less. If same-day knife
grinding and shipping is requested approval must be received by 11:00 AM MST.
